From the Rooter to the Tooter

Before hog processing became a multi-million dollar large-scale factory process in North Carolina, the responsibility of butchering them belonged to the farmers who had raised them up. In the winter of 2008, three young Piedmont farmers invited their friends, family and one very experienced man to educated them in the proper way to kill and process three hogs they had raised collectively in an effort to become reacquainted with their food source.
