Info

In 2005 George Bailey underwent a first-of-its-kind surgical procedure called Osseo integration, in which the shaft of an artificial limb was inserted and anchored into the boned of his right rear limb to provide a stable and permanent prosthesis. Unfortunately one metal screw broke loose and the prosthesis was removed two months later, but he is still able to walk on the remaining portion of the limb.
